SHORT MISSION STATEMENT: "Teaching gardening for health and promoting outdoor physical activities that nourish and build healthy bodies, and improve physical and mental well-being."

THE EXPANDED VERSION: "Sunset Vista provides small scale organic agriculture and self-sufficiency instruction to individuals and groups to deepen their understanding of food, its source and its relationship to health, while preserving the environment, to inspire others to recreate those principles in their own home and community environments."

  • By opening our farm to schools, businesses, scout troops, senior citizens, and any community members, we hope to nurture a love and appreciation for those things that God has created for us to enjoy through gardening and outdoor activity.
  • Through our educational programs, we hope to encourage visitors to become more inquisitive about where our food comes from, the role of the farm, and all that wholesome natural gardening offers. We want to bring sustainability into the daily lives of our visitors.
  • From the lessons we share, it is our deepest hope that all of our visitors learn to appreciate and care for their bodies through gardening and nature activity. We hope that they will gain the skills to garden for health at work, school, or in their own yards, even if it means starting with just a windowsill garden!
